Flow Switch Adjustable setpoint, general use
The Malema M-100 Series is an adjustable inline flow switch designed for highly sensitive monitoring of low gas and liquid flow rates in industrial, analytical, and OEM applications. The switch operates using a magnetic piston and hermetically sealed reed switch mechanism, providing reliable flow detection with minimal pressure drop and excellent repeatability. An external adjustment screw controls an internal bypass, allowing virtually infinite adjustment of the switching point across a broad operating range.
The M-100 Series is specifically engineered for monitoring sample flow in process control systems and inert gas applications. Its compact inline design and high sensitivity make it especially suitable for bypass installation to detect filter plugging, coolant flow failure, and low-flow alarm conditions. The switch supports both increasing and decreasing flow detection with SPST and SPDT electrical configurations available.
Available body materials include 316 stainless steel, brass, anodized aluminum, acrylic, polypropylene, and PTFE for compatibility with corrosive and non-corrosive media. Typical flow ranges extend up to approximately 950 cc/min for water and 60 SLPM for air depending on configuration. Performance characteristics include repeatability up to ±1%, set point accuracy within ±10%, and low hysteresis for stable switching behavior. Typical applications include gas analyzers, gas chromatographs, vacuum systems, atmosphere furnaces, laser cooling systems, semiconductor equipment, lubrication monitoring, and industrial process instrumentation.
