The Malema M-200X Series is an explosion-proof adjustable flow switch designed for accurate monitoring of increasing and decreasing gas or liquid flow rates in hazardous industrial environments. The switch uses a free-floating magnetic piston and reed switch mechanism to provide highly sensitive flow detection with minimal pressure drop and low hysteresis. Its field-adjustable design allows virtually infinite flow adjustment within the operating range, making the series suitable for both very low and relatively high flow applications.

Constructed primarily from 316 stainless steel, the M-200X Series offers excellent corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, and reliable long-term performance in demanding process conditions. The series is available with 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" FNPT connections, as well as SPST and SPDT electrical configurations. Explosion-proof approvals include UL, ATEX, and IECEx certifications for hazardous area installations.

Typical applications include gas analyzers, biomedical instruments, atmosphere furnaces, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, gas sampling systems, vacuum systems, and industrial process monitoring where dependable flow detection and alarm signaling are required. Typical performance includes repeatability up to ±2%, low pressure drop, and operating pressures up to approximately 3000 psig depending on configuration.
