The Malema M-55 Series is a fixed set point inline flow switch designed for accurate monitoring of low gas and liquid flow rates in industrial, biomedical, analytical, and OEM applications. The switch operates using a free-floating magnetic piston and hermetically sealed reed switch mechanism, allowing reliable detection of increasing or decreasing flow with minimal pressure drop and low hysteresis. Because the switching point is factory preset, the device provides stable, repeatable, and maintenance-friendly long-term performance without requiring field adjustment.

The M-55 Series is available primarily with 1/8" FNPT connections and supports SPST or SPDT electrical configurations for flexible alarm and control integration. Standard construction materials include 316 stainless steel, acrylic, anodized aluminum, brass, polypropylene, and PTFE, allowing compatibility with both corrosive and non-corrosive gases and liquids. Typical performance includes set point accuracy within ±10% and repeatability up to ±5%, with flow ranges approximately from 170–750 CCM for water and 5–25 SLPM for air depending on configuration.
