Headline stainless steel filter elements are constructed from multiple layers of 316 stainless steel mesh, sintered together to form a robust porous element. The middle mesh layer, made from fine gauge wire, determines the filtration efficiency, while inner and outer coarser layers provide strength and protection.
These are surface filters, meaning contaminants are retained on the surface of the mesh, making cleaning and backflushing straightforward. They can be ultrasonically cleaned to restore performance. Stainless steel elements are ideal for heavily contaminated applications and as pre-filters before disposable elements.
Available with Viton, PTFE, or high-temperature annealed copper seals, and in grades from 1 μm to 100 μm.
